If you have done boot camps or other fitness classes, you have an idea of how it works, BUT we have raised the bar and focus on giving you an all around balance of strength, cardio, core, flexibility and recovery.
The Classes:
METABOLIC CONDITIONING:
These classes are timed based using circuits of full body movements moving in multiple planes of motion increasing the heart rate for the work interval and then allowing recovery between exercises. The primary goal is to push the intensity, increasing the heart rate for a short period of time to get the metabolism revving. Your workload will always be more than your rest. Usually you will work twice as long as resting. For example, we use Tabatas in which you will work for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds.
TOTAL BODY STRENGTH:
These classes are set up the complete opposite of METABOLIC CONDITIONING. The goal of this class is pure strength. We use a strength training method called Escalating Density Training which means we have a set time period and do set reps of each exercise going through each exercise for the reps specified as many times as a client can.
These classes are set up for specified time period and more importantly, a specified repetition range. Due to the fact that the number of repetitions is our primary stimulus, we do not change the number of repetitions. For example you will do 6 repetitions for a given exercise in which you have completed a set. You can do as many as 5-10 sets. Also, your rest periods will be twice as long as work performed.
RECONNECT & REJUVENATE: (our version of yoga and pilates)
If you are a yoga and pilates junky then you need to experience R&R! This class is designed to bring out the YIN inside you. Reset your mind and body after a hard workout. Classes are focused on reconnecting and rejuvenating the fascia and muscle tissues. You will find what it means to be aware of your core! Once you tap into the power of the core you can use thee skills in our other class. R&R perfectly complements our group training sessions to allow your body to regenerate and recover.
